Welcome to the Cryo-Ops 2024
The 9th edition of the
International Workshop on Cryogenic Operations, will be held in Grenoble,
France, from July 17th to 19th, 2024. This event is
organized jointly by the CEA, Air Liquide and CNRS. The Workshop will take place at
the INP school - Ense3, UGA.
The Cryo-Ops
Workshop provides a periodic forum for research laboratories and
industry to present and discuss current technological advancements, operability
and maintenance experience of large cryogenic systems in the support to
the physics research community or to industrial production.
The
Workshop topics are intended to include the latest practical engineering,
safety and operational management applications and techniques that have been
found to enhance the operational costs, reliability and flexibility.
Cryo-Ops 2024
will be an interactive workshop alternating presentation sessions
and visits:
> Specific sessions on Operation
& Maintenance, Control & Simulation, Safety & Regulation, Energy
efficiency, Commissioning and New Technologies
> Visits of
academic and industrial laboratories such as the Laboratoire National des
Champs Magnétiques Intenses (EMFL-LNCMI), Air Liquide Advanced Technologies
(ALaT), CEA Cryogenic Laboratory and Test Facilities.
Starting
at Fermilab, USA in 2004, following an initiative
of US Physics research laboratories, the International Workshop on
Cryogenic Operations was then held under the auspices of
the Cryo-Ops International Committee.
This conference was organized
at SLAC, USA in 2006, followed by CERN, Switzerland in
2008, TRIUMF, Canada in 2010, KEK, Japan in 2012, STFC
Daresbury, United Kingdom in 2014, Fermilab, USA in 2016 and IHEP-CAS,
China in 2018.
On the behalf
of the organizing, scientific and international committees, we are very glad to
meet you on this occasion.
